Is the atmosphere in Shreveport / Bossier City, Texas anything like Las Vegas?

Brother is planning his wedding. His finace wanted to go to Vegas for marriage, but too expensive. So, wondering if Bossier City or Shreveport is similar to vegas in atmosphere, and if it is a popular choice for weddings/ honeymoons.

(We thinking bossier or shreveport will be cheaper, because we are already in Texas.)

Shana, I’m sorry. i should have been more specific. I was talking about the ambience, the activities all around. Vegas is known not only for gambling, but also for Elvis impersonators, quickie weddings with celebrity lookalike preachers, and maybe a carnival-like atmosphere? Not sure, I’ve never been there.
Yes, it’s in Louisiana. It’s late here, and I’m a little tired. But I wasn’t being rude, so why are you?

At which casinos can I play Casino War?

I went to Shreveport last weekend and found a game called Casino War at the El Dorado casino. Of all of Shreveport’s/Bossier City’s casinos only El Dorado had this game and only one single table. Does anybody know of any casinos particularly in Las Vegas that have this game? It doesn’t seem to be a very popular game, most of the time I played I was playing 1 on 1 against the dealer.

Is the war in Iraq worth this life?

SHREVEPORT, La. A Shreveport Marine, with barely a year of service under his belt, has been killed in an illegal war in Iraq.

Family members say Lance Corporal John Edward Hale, who’d been in the war-torn country for three months, died Friday when an improvised explosive device detonated near his patrol in the Anbar Province.

Funeral arrangements are pending the return of his remains to the United States, which could take two weeks. The family is very sad to know he died for a lost cause.
