If a flight is diverted, what is next?

My family was on a 1:25 flight from Philly to DFW, but here in Dallas it’s rainy, foggy, and all around crappy. The flight I see from online flight trackers say it landed in Shreveport.

Oh great, heh.

Does this mean they’ll still leave on the same MD80 today? Or will they be forced to go on another flight. I worry because they non-reved, or went standby.

   The airlines wil give them another flight but if they nn to go on another flight but if they need to stay overnight they nn to go on another flight but if they will be forced to stay overnight they nn to stay overnight they need.
   For their accomodation.
